How much should I water my lawn in the Fall and Winter?

Watering Guidelines

When temperatures are above 90°F:
Water three times per week, counting both rainfall and irrigation.

When temperatures are consistently in the 80s (September–October):
Water once or twice per week, depending on rainfall amounts.

November through February:
No supplemental watering is needed. Lawns are dormant during this period and receive sufficient moisture from normal rainfall. Overwatering in cooler months may encourage fungal activity.

Shrub beds:
Water only as needed, based on weather and soil moisture.
